GOING SLOW IN PHOTOGRAPHY!
The world now is at speed. Almost everything, if not everything is done with a blink of an eye!
It's not new in the photography world too. Many photographers now just click, and click, and click their shutter and look for the best images in post process. With the use of A.I., everything is done in one snap of your fingers. Well, nothing is wrong with these but somehow it misses something. Something I can't explain but I can feel its lacking... specially in my part as a photographer.
Photography wasn't always like that. It used to be about SEEING and MAKING photographs in a camera. But, here's the catch, it's not just taking an image, but about feeling it, being with it, expressing oneself with it, and composing the image then capturing something worth keeping.
This is why I am going slow in photography. I bought a toy camera online. For what?
To slow me down.
To STOP! LOOK! and LISTEN!
To make me take photographs not just an image.
To make me See beyond what is seen.
To make me take and make photographs!
These are all easy to say but hoping I can do it and notice the difference!
Photos above are all taken with my Chuzhao Simulation Camera (Toy Camera) edited in Adobe Lightroom with my Trentaysingko Milimetro preset.
